Amias Nicholas Price

On Thursday 9th of March 2023 at 6:37 am, our incredible friends Alex and Chloe were blessed with the arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Amias Nicholas Price. Sadly, he faced a fight much bigger than himself and passed peacefully that evening.

Those close to them will know that back in November, Amias was diagnosed with an extremely serious congenital heart disorder known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).

HLHS is a rare condition that occurs in 1 in 4000 babies and only accounts for 1% of all congenital heart disorders. In short, it means that the left side of his heart had not formed proportionately, meaning it was much too small to pump blood correctly around his body.

In some cases, HLHS is a treatable condition, but never curable. Babies born with it can undergo multiple open-heart surgeries to extend their life expectancy. However, not all babies meet the necessary criteria for these surgeries to take place, which was devastatingly the case for Amias.

I can't begin to imagine how difficult the last few months have been for Alex & Chloe. Having to attend various scans and appointments alongside running a household and raising their little boy, Freddie. But what I do know is that Alex, Chloe and Freddie are a truly amazing family. They have been the most loving, caring and supportive friends anyone could ask for and I'm sure many would echo this sentiment. The strength they have shown over the last few months has been admirable and I for one, could not be more proud of them.

However, now more than ever they need the support of their friends and family. They are already going through unimaginable pain and the last thing they need right now is to be worrying about something as trivial as money.

I know times are tough financially for everyone right now, but please give as generously as you can to help them with the upcoming funeral costs for Amias and any other hardships they may encounter.
