Amethyst Beauty Lounge

Amethyst Beauty Lounge has has been directly affected by COVID-19, which was shut down indefinitely on March 18th by our health department. We have been unable to receive any assistance (PPP, PUA, GRANT, etc). Each of us has applied for the “Red Button Assistance” for independent contractors, and are still waiting. We have applied for everything to either hear no response or to be rejected. Despite all this, while we remain closed, the business still needs to uphold business insurances, liability insurances, business licenses, along with rent, utilities, loan payment, payroll, purchasing more PPE products that will be mandatory for us to open, and replenishing of products that have expired which we will need to work again. When we reopen, potentially phase 2, we will not be able to perform all services due to restrictions or see nearly as many clients daily resulting in even more financial distress. This doesn’t even touch what this is doing to our personal finances. Any funds that the business currently receives must go directly back into the business for everything that has been owed since March 18th and since the ability to take clients has been stripped away from us, we lack the ability to pay our personal bills with what would have been our typical weekly paychecks. “As it is, if we won’t be able to go back to work until phase 3, I will not be able to return to work as I am due with my second child early September. Months of what would be saving for maternity leave have been taken away me. We don’t get paid maternity/vacation leave being contractors.” Jussie (Owner, Amethyst Beauty Lounge) ”Not only have I acquired $10,000 and counting thus far in debts (nearly 3 months of acquired bills including and resulting in the loss of my health insurance) from lost wages due to mandated shut down, but I also have a pet in need of a $6,000 surgery”. Shondra (Manager of Amethyst Beauty Lounge) After a number of attempts of trying to get answers, starting a petition and contacting our governor numerous times- We feel this is our last resort of having a chance to re-open. Money raised from this will help us be able to re-open our doors and clear the path for a new beginning for Amethyst Beauty Lounge. It will help us become current as well as help assist Jussie (Owner/Technicina, Shondra (Manager/Technician) and Gigi ( Nail Technician) in our personal lives to get back on our feet to help provide for our families. No donation is too small and sharing this link out to the public is also a great help in itself. We greatly appreciate your contributions during this time.
