SEND LOCAL STUDENTS TO FILM FEST

This is a story where dreams really do come true.  Three local Camden County students Tripp Gay, Braylie Konrad and Kade Konrad have been working hard for the last several years writing, editing, and filming movies.  Tripp Gay and Kade Konrad are both 10th graders at Camden County High School and Braylie Konrad is a 7th grader at Camden Middle School.   Their name is TBK ENTERTAINMENT.  The three of them were the first students at Camden County to ever submit a movie to the Georgia Student Media Festival.  They entered the Georgia Student Media festival for two years in a row and received a score of 100/100 and 99/100, respectively.   This month they accomplished a HUGE ACHIEVEMENT.  As a result of these scores, hard work, and completing a rigorous application, the students has been accepted as a participant in the 2017 “Complete Experience” Film Invitational Competition at the ALL AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL 2017 FILM FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK CITY, OCTOBER 4-8.  Most of the teams that are participants in the competition are sponsored by their high school which have a film department and a budget.  Unfortunately, being from a small town, our school system does not have a film department nor a budget so all of the financial burden falls solely on the three kids.   On August 1st, the students received the topic on which they will write their script for the film.  They have 10 weeks to write the script for their short film before they leave for New York City.  During the competition part of the festival, the students will have 3 days to shoot and edit the film at different locations in New York City.  The film has to be completed on Friday October 6th.   The students’ final production will premiere on the big screen at the AMC THEATRE in Times Square on Sunday Oct 8 followed by an awards ceremony.  They leave after school on Tuesday October 3 and will return home Monday October 9.  They don't have a "team" or a "budget" it is just the three of them in the BIG TIME in the BIG APPLE!  Since there is no budget to get them there, they are fundraising for this trip.   They will be doing various fundraisers over the next month to reach their goal.   Any amount you can contribute to TBK Entertainment for this amazing achievement would be much appreciated. Three local students from Camden County are representing us in a film festival in NYC where dreams really do come true. We have a month --  let’s make it happen!
