Ambulance Expense

Hello, my name is Lindsey Creed and I'm the daughter of Cindy Klein, the most amazing and selfless person you could ever meet.  On July 25, 2017 my mother had an aneurism burst from an AVM that we didn't know existed. The AVM is located in an area of her spinal cord that is very rare; none of the doctors working with her have seen it there. Initially we were in Bowling Green, ky where the doctor there said she had no hope and nothing could be done. Thankfully, we have several nurses in the family that knew this couldn't be right so we fought for her to be transferred to UK hospital in Lexington, KY. Right away the neurosurgeon here had hope and plans of what interventions could be done. Currently all brain function is there and she can use/feel her left side. Now, once she has the trach and peg for several days the next step will be getting her into an acute therapy facility. Unfortunately, her insurance will only cover her to get to the closest facility, which is here in Lexington. Although the facility here sounds amazing, it's very inconvenient for anyone to visit her. Lexington is a far drive for all family members. Between myself, her sister, brothers, and fiancé, we are anywhere from 3-8 hours from Lexington. We would love to get her closer to home. I feel she needs all the support she can get to endure these tough times, but this just wouldn't be possible for us to do if she stays in Lexington. So, to get her moved we would need to pay for an ambulance ride out of our own pockets. I'm not one to ask for help and neither is my mother, but we would greatly appreciate any help we can get. Nobody could be more deserving of this than my mother. She is one strong, caring, god-loving, selfless woman. ❤️
