I literally just left my pre-op consult with my surgeon... Having been so excited to finally get top surgery, my insurance company having finally agreed to cover my surgery after lengthy and expensive psychiatric evaluations and therapy for the past year.. I’m leaving her office deflated. 

she gave me great news! She proposed me possible surgery dates in the very near future (December 2021/Jan 2022) but it all well, crashed when she told me I would still need to fork out 10’000Chf out of pocket. 

The Swiss gov covers trans surgeries under its insurance policies. However, they deem part of the surgery process “cosmetic” as my surgeon uses liposuction on the chest to create the best shape.  Each areais 4000francs. (2 areas) 
i then have to cover the cost of my insurance deductible of 2500.- and 10% afterwards. I also have to cover the costs of 10 days spent in a hotel or Airbnb in Zurich. 

Putting this all together I suddenly realised how distant and impossible surgery now feels... 

my financial situation currently really fcking sucks and I have no idea how I can even attempt to make this possible, and so shyly, I’m here to ask for a helping hand, if you are able to. Any would help and would mean the absolute world.
