Help Amber-Reneé become a Forensic Psychologist

Hi, my name is Amber-Reneé, and I have studied psychology for the past few years. I have completed my Degree in psychology and Master’s in forensic psychology and have always had a desire to work in the field of forensic psychology. I enjoy understanding and providing interventions to offenders, those diagnosed with mental health and supporting victims and others affected.
I love to give back and have been involved in several projects within the community including feeding the homeless, working with young girls and volunteering at local hospitals and prisons during holiday seasons. I have also worked with disadvantaged groups in the community for several years including women experiencing domestic abuse and those who are mentally unwell and continue to support my local community where I can with any projects.
Nationally, there are not many forensic psychologists who come from minority backgrounds, and without the registered training at doctorate level, I am unable to qualify as a chartered forensic psychologist which will allow me the opportunity to work psychologically with this particular cohort of people.
As a result of being accepted onto the Forensic Psychology doctorate, my current employment had to cease to enable me to enrol full time on the course and as a result of that, I will be unemployed. Though given that this is a great opportunity, I am determined have started the course, even though I have not secured the funding to pay the full sum of the university fees.
This is where I need your help!
Both my undergraduate and postgraduate courses have been funded typically through student grants and loans. However, there are only a few doctorate courses that offer financial assistance to help students fund their way through the course. As the course does not fall within the category of health, it is not funded through the NHS or any other statutory body, unlike the Clinical Psychology doctorate. I have also carried extensive research into whether there are any other bursaries, maintenance loans and grants and also spoke with the university to explore any other avenues of financial assistance. The course fees total £18,900.00 for the duration of the course which is 2 years. As I will be unemployed and travelling to the to attend the course, I will be unable to afford the course fees required.
There is anecdotal evidence that most students who successfully secure a position on this course are from middle upper-class backgrounds, whose parents typically fund the course for them. I am not that fortunate or in any position where my parents are able to fund this course. Yet, I am determined and driven since accepting the place, to find some means to pay for this course.

Students studying full-time for more than 12 months will be required to pay the relevant fee for each year of study. Any scholarships applied for/granted by the University of Nottingham, will not have been accounted for in quoting above fee.
