I would like to raise money to fund several opportunities for the children of KIDTEA in Siem Reap, Cambodia. KIDTEA is an amazing nonprofit organization which provides free English & computer classes in the Trang Village.
Over the past 18 months I have been able to help provide over 700 hours of free teaching and approximately $9,000 in donations for the students and the school. I owe this in large part to my community, who is constantly standing behind me and always willing to help. I also know that I could not do this without my friends, who have spent their own money and time traveling to Cambodia alongside me to carry donations and teach English at the school.
I am asking for $2,500 in donations for my birthday this year. The money will be distributed in the following ways.
$1,000 will sposor a music program in honor of Christopher Ross. Chris was a close friend of mine, a donor and supporter of the school. The money will fund the cost of nine sets of traditional instruments and the materials for building proper class rooms. The program in total is $2,000, but we have already received a $1,000 donation.
$600 will sponsor a playground update and the addition of a hygiene station for KIDTEA. This will include 10 sinks and a cup, toothbrush and toothpaste for each student to use upon arriving to the school. The station will be located on the back of the playground. All wood fixed pieces on the playground will be replaced by steel for safety reasons.
$300 will sponsor teacher Lane Vann to continue her education at the Australian Center For Education. This cost covers one English course. I met Lane on my first visit to KIDTEA and was inspired by her kindness and devotion to the children. She worked at the school teaching English for over a year at zero salary. She has completed Year 11 of High School and several English courses. My dream is to one day send her to college.
$200 will sponsor an educational field trip to the Angkor Wat Temple Complex. The money will cover the cost of transportation and food for 150 children.
$400 will replenish school supplies for 150 students for six full months. This includes notebooks, pencils, erasers, rulers and any other necessary learning tools. The remainder of the money will support office supplies and furniture for the teachers.

July 2017: 800 Books for the Library, Laptop, games&puzzles, 130 toothbrush&toothpaste sets, medical supplies and clothes.
