Amber's journey with GAN

Amber has a rare disorder called GAN.  Giant axonal neuropathy (GAN), is a rare inherited genetic disorder that affects both the central and peripheral nervous systems, which results in progressive nerve death.
     The day finally came that Amber received her GAN therapy injection.  This injection delivers gene therapy through the spinal fluid to test the potential to achieve broad treatment of the spinal cord and brain.
    We continue to ask that you keep Amber in your prayers.  Amber has visited the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Maryland for the past three years.  Now that she's been given her injection, she will be returning every three months for monitoring.  Though this opportunity is a blessing, it has placed an unforeseen financial hardship on the family.  We ask for your help in keeping this family afloat as they focus on getting Amber better and on her way to recovery.
