Flood Relief - Amber & Mike

Donation protected
Last week, many Sonoma County residents were under an evacuation advisory as the Russian River rose again under pounding rain.

My colleague and friend, Amber and her family (husband and 5 children) were among the hardest hit.  Their home sits near the Russian River which crested above 38 feet on Wednesday, January 11th.

They had recently moved into their new home and were in the process of renovations.   That Sunday, they were told to evacuate. Amber and the family moved their belongings to the second floor not expecting the waters to reach this level.   On Wednesday, though, they realized that wouldn’t be enough.  Unfortunately, they could not return to their home due to the flood.

As you know Amber, she is always smiling and forever positive.  Even in this unexpecting and challenging time, she is still smiling and remaining strong.   As you can see, she has instilled this positivity in her family as the children played in a newly formed creek near the home.

They are still working on determining the full extent of the damage to their home and their remaining belongings.   Money donated on this page will go to them directly to help them with their expenses.

Any and all help and support is so appreciated as they are working hard to recover and rebuild. Hopefully this page makes it a little easier for everyone to know how they can help.
