Monday October 2nd Amaya Ruiz at age 11 was diagnosed with leukemia. This sweet girl and her familys’ life’s have been turned upside down. The good news is that it is highly treatable. She'll go through extensive chemo for 2 years and is currently in the induction phase which includes intense chemo to destroy all of the leukemia cells. While we are grateful that the cause of her discomfort has been discovered she has a long road ahead of her. Amaya and her family have to stay in Gainesville for the first 30 days of treatment.
Wednesday October 4th was day 1 of the cure!
I can’t imagine the expenses that go along with a diagnosis of this kind, travel expenses, cost of living and how hard this would be. The last thing they need is any financial strain during this time.
Brandy (Amaya’s mom) is a friend and fellow nurse, she is an amazing, kind and loving person. She would do anything for anyone.
I am setting this up for Amaya and her family with Brandy’s permission.
They are the sole beneficiary and are the only ones who have access to donations.

Amaya Ruiz is 11 years old. Her 13 year old sister Leilani Ruiz and her are best friends!
Amaya loves video games, writing stories, playing role play games, and she LOVES Hamilton the musical.
Right now she's super tired. She's received multiple blood and platelet transfusions. She's pulling through beautifully.
