We are a not-for-profit, Gloucestershire based Grassroots Football Club, with our home ground being Tuffley Park in Gloucester. From 2021/22 season we are going to be playing in the Cheltenham Association Football League Division 3, which is the 16th tier of football in England.
The club has been born based on very strong principles of inclusive, equality and diversity, already becoming Kick It Out chartered and supporting the Rainbow Laces campaigns. In addition to this the club has also partnered with the Gloucestershire Young Carers charity in order to help provide exposure and fundraising for them.
Along with the community events the club is strongly involved in, grassroots football itself also provides several benefits:
- An escape from every day life, supporting people with physical or mental health challenges and avoid feeling isolated
- Provide a supportive network people can reach out to when they are in need
- To feel part of the community and the football family
- To have fun!
This fundraiser will help our players to be able to get matchday tracksuits and training tops in order for them to further feel a part of the footballing family that is GAFC.
These tracksuits will also help to deliver a professional image when hosting charity events for our partner charity which will help to ensure the club retains its ethics around being a fun but professional and caring club.
Despite starting in the bottom tier of English football we have very high ambitions to work our way through the leagues to one day become a professional football club!
