On Sunday January 14th, 2018, A'mari Ciara Murriel-Johnson, age 7, passed away due to an infection that was misdiagnosed at a local public hospital. A'mari was part of the Hope Gardens community in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
A'mari attended P.S. 376, a school for gifted and talented children, and was known for her incredible kindess, warmth, intellectual talent, ambition...and love of pink, purple and unicorns. A'mari was loved by countless friends, teachers, peers at school and at summer camp, and members of the community.
All donations will be given directly to Amari's family who is incurring the tremendous costs of holding a funeral, all while they mourn this tragedy.
