aManda Greene has embarked on the healing journey of her lifetime. Our beloved friend, daughter, sister, teacher, and social justice warrior has been diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroendocrine Cancer. Just six weeks ago aManda was well and working whole heartedly in our community for the benefit of Oakland youth. Suddenly, and with little explanation of what triggered and where this very aggressive and rare cancer has come from, she fell ill and has been in and out of doctor visits and hospitals for six weeks now. As we are her community we call upon each and everyone of us to help in raising funds so she can acquire treatments with ease and follow the path of self care that she chooses. As of November 29, 2018, aManda has began her Chemotherapy treatment. We ask for your support offering anything you can to help offset her out-of-pocket costs and give her the opportunity to choose how and where she wants to continue her journey without monetary restrictions. We as her army can and will help her win this battle! Let’s pull together to support this path for her as she has pulled together for so many of us.

It took some time for aManda to figure out what the best healing path was for her. With all the information from multiple sources and listening to her our own body, she decided ultimately on the CHIPSA Hospital, an alternative integrated cancer treated center in Mexico.
That time came into light on Wednesday December 19, 2018. aManda celebrated her decision at Oakland Airport surrounded by family and community. She was escorted onto an airplane with her angel caregiver Jaesen to travel to Tijuana, Mexico. Courageous and hopeful aManda was picked up by the CHIPSA Hospital on Thursday December 20, 2018.

As we all know healing needs a lot of resources. Our estimated budget for round one treatment is:
$33,427.17 Treatment @ CHIPSA Hospital - chipsahospital.org
$6,495.00 Outpatient Follow Up Treatment
$1,500 For 9 months of supplements
$1,100 Transportation to and from CHIPSA for aManda and caregiver
$580 Hotel on front and back end of treatment
And that doesn’t included all the bills already accrued.
