Amanda Mae Cancer Treatment Fund

Amanda, in the past year, has had 3 separate cancers. One took a kidney. The next, a lymphoma which she has battled for the past year, has proven to be rather chemotherapy resistant. She will now have to undergo another round of chemo, which will require her to leave her job, and probably, lose her medical insurance. She also, recently discovered and had removed, two melanoma malignancies. I would like to help her maintain her medical insurance to pay for her chemotherapy treatments and maintain her mortgage payments while out of work undergoing life-saving cancer treatment.

Amanda Mae is a friend and former colleague of mine at Atlas Air. She was one of the most competent, aware, and energetic of the passenger service representatives/loadmasters we had and I developed great professional appreciation for her skills, which actually, were a great service to me/us in the technical operations aircraft maintenance department. She is also someone to be admired personally. Though there was a large generational difference between us, I could relate to her. I appreciate her strong sense of humor, and she mine. At Atlas Air, I had to travel extensively, and didnt like it at all. Amanda was one of those who made that travel less painful for me. While our acquaintance was professional and short lived (she moved on to greener employment pastures) she made a lasting impact on me, as she has with all of our colleagues in common.
