May 3, 2004 – October 22, 2022

We’ve spent the last two days praying – begging – for a Miracle. We needed one to save our precious Amanda. We needed one to keep her light alive. The hearts she touched from all across the globe sent their love, strength, and prayers to her. Last night, we learned that we received that Miracle eighteen years ago.

Amanda Grace, my mother’s rainbow baby, gave us so much love, displayed immense bravery, and taught us more about life than any of us ever realized before now. Having graduated in June of 2022 from Theodore Roosevelt High School, being only eighteen, beginning her freshman year of college, and standing only five-feet, Amanda’s stature was truly ten-feet tall. She proudly represented the city of Wyandotte as a cheerleader from the age of four to eighteen, ultimately leading her team to the highest scores in Roosevelt’s history. We love you, Amanda. Forever.
Us four. Our team.

On Friday, October 21st, Amanda began her drive from Central Michigan University back to our home in Wyandotte. At approximately 11:30 am, she was rear-ended, causing her to lose control and pushing her across the median into on-coming traffic. She was then air-lifted to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, where she fought resiliently for thirty-six hours before finding her home in Heaven.

May her memory be eternal.

Today, we ask that the love and support you’ve all shown our family continue. My mother, Frannie Kish, will be unable to work for we’re not sure how long. This unbearable grief is something we will never overcome entirely, but, with no life insurance, in order to fund our Amanda Grace’s funeral expenses, medical expenses, and our overall survival expenses as we live day-to-day, we ask for your outpouring prayers, love, and generosity to continue.

We will post the funeral arrangements as soon as we are able to make them.

We are incredibly appreciative of the love and support you’ve shown us through the donations to the previous GoFundMe, but we wanted to organize our own. Further donations to the previous GoFundMe will no longer be possible, making this the main one, ran by family.

Love,
The Kish Family

Rest peacefully, Manda. We’ll miss you every second until we see you again.
