Alzheimers memories fund

We found out that my husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease. He's the greatest man I've ever known and truly a soul mate. We have been married for 15 years and have a 14 year old son. He's worked so hard to keep our family above water financially but we've never had extra money for anything extravagant. He’s the greatest fiddle/guitar player and singer I know and he’s spent most of his life on the big stage with numerous country music stars but gave it all up 15 years ago to be a wonderful dad and husband. We never got to go on a honeymoon and have never been on a family vacation. I myself have never seen the ocean nor has my son and ever since I was a little girl it has been my dream to visit Hawaii. The reason I’m trying to raise money is because it is my entire dream in life to take my family on a vacation to Oahu, Hawaii before the illness starts to take a hold of my husband and he forgets my son and I and before medical expenses start piling up. I know this may sound like a lame reason for raising money but the fact is that one day he won't know who I am and I want the memory of holding his hand when My son and I see the ocean for the first time. He is a great man and doesn't deserve what is happening to him but it's is just life. He’s always been an honest man of God and I can't imagine life without him. We, after 15 years are still like newlyweds. In love more than ever and hold hands while watching tv. We’ve always enjoyed the small things in life and tried not to take anything for granted. I'd love to have some vacation memories to hold on to as well as some extra money for medical expenses and to get some things in order. I’ve never asked for money in my life but times are tough right now. UPDATE: For everyone who’s has donated thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your contribution has not gone to waste. After 3 reschedulings we hopefully have a June vacation scheduled. We fell way short of our goal and the fundraiser is still going and if anyone is interested we would be forever grateful for your help. Every little bit helps and thank you all for making this dream of mine a reality.
