Alyssa's fight against LYME

My cousin Alyssa was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease in June of 2016. Working through her medical history, doctors believe this is a result of when she was bit by a tick 16 years ago. The longer Lyme disease goes untreated, the harder the battle becomes. Alyssa struggles daily with chronic fatigue, joint pain & stiffness, heart issues (POTS) , migraines, nausea, and cognitive impairment disorder. As a result of these physical and mental restraints, Alyssa had to change her daily lifestyle and was eventually forced to leave her career that she worked hard for and loved.
Unfortunately, the lack of development in Lyme Disease research leaves Alyssa to rely on "trial and error" as her treatment plan. Some of the things she has tried have been something as "small" as dietary restrictions (no dairy, soy, gluten, sugar, alcohol) buying as much organic and natural food so her body does not take in any additional chemicals and toxins. She has tried acupuncture, supplements prescribed by the Lyme Center, and IV infusions. As well as intense rounds of antibiotics which her immune system cannot even handle right now.
**NONE OF THESE TREATMENTS ARE COVERED BY INSURANCE!!!!!!!
Having been without an income for over a year now, having to pay medical expenses out of pocket, along with everyday cost of living, Alyssa cannot afford to continue with medical treatment and stay on top of her finances.
I am asking anyone and everyone that reads this to please help. Any $ amount you can share will help her battle this disease as she works with her doctors and explores every possibility to get well!!
