Alyse's cancer fight

Donation protected
Once again, our world has been rocked by cancer.

This week, our beloved Alyse, “Mommy” to her sweet 5-year old daughter Harper, “Alyse” to her husband of 13 years, David and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, “Auntie Leesee” and “Auntie Seesee” to her many nieces and nephews and “Leesee Piecey” to her brothers, sister and mom and dad, was diagnosed with gallbladder cancer.

Her cancer is a rare cancer and she is in for the fight of her life in a fight for her life.

Cancer has once again rocked our family to the core, after Alyse’s sweet niece, Avery, battled brain cancer eight years ago before succumbing to the disease.

Alyse was so active in helping our family rally around Avery, and with her facing her own cancer fight, we are now rallying around her, David and Harper.

Alyse is a 40-year old, born and raised in Ventura, California, who moved to Texas in 2021. Before she and David had Harper, the last of the four children in her family to have children of their own, Auntie Leesee/Auntie Seesee was the fun-loving, always-doting aunt to her 12 nieces and nephews (which has since grown to 13).

She is an incredibly creative person, with her own craft-making business, a hobby that became a passion project as much as a second job, in addition to her fulltime job in the insurance industry.

After experiencing some pain and discomfort the past few months in her abdomen, what we thought would be a routine procedure on Wednesday, January 17th, turned in to the conversation you never, ever, want to hear: that Alyse has cancer.

Because of the location of the cancer and the symptoms, it has already spread to her liver and while we are still waiting for the diagnosis of what stage cancer she is in (and should find that out in the ensuing days), this is very real for her, David and Harper - their mother and wife, our sister, daughter, sister-in-law and aunt is in a very real battle against cancer for her life

The news has shaken us, once again, to our core but Alyse has already told us she is determined to fight this with strength and bravery.

That said, the physical toll is looming but so too is the financial toll it will take on her and her family as she will be undergoing aggressive treatment for the coming weeks that will have a severe impact on her ability to work in her fill time job.

She is currently being treated at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

Alyse is determined to fight with all she has, but this is a very real and serious battle and she needs all of the prayer and support that is available.
And knowing our sister, she has fought and been stubborn her entire life, so if anyone is built to fight this, it’s Alyse.

Alyse is clinging to her faith and hope in the Lord through this fight, believing for a miracle of healing for her while trying to be the best mother and wife she can physically be as she takes on this challenge.

Her mother, father, sister, brothers, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, mother-in-law, father-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are unwavering in their support, coming along side her in her fight and supporting her in every way we possibly can, providing strength, encouragement and love while hoping for your gracious support for Alyse and her family.

Please, join with us in prayer, and in anything you can graciously give to Alyse, David and Harper, so she can fight this with all she has while not needing to worry about the financial burden this fight will be.

We thank you all for your prayers, love and support.
