The fight for Myles
Donation protected
Hi , this is my son Myles. Myles has bronchiolitis obliterans hypoxia. A very severe and life threatening lung disease. Myles is in need of a double lung transplant as he only has a 17 percent lung capacity. Unfortunately the survival rate for a double lung transplant is not very good.
t
If his body accepts the new lungs it will only prolong his life 2 To 5 years. The chance of infection and rejection is very high. Antibiotics and steroids have little affect on Myles because he has been on them most of his life so his chance of infection is very high. This is Dr Feinerman. He works with autologous stem cells. Wich means they come from your own body. Dr Fienerman is our last chance to save Myles . Unfortunately insurance doesn't cover this procedure. We have recently raised 17,000 and took Myles for his first treatment in October . Myles will have to go back every 4 to 6 months for the next couple years . He takes 7 pills a day and to different nebulizer treatments. and growth factor injections. None of witch are covered by insurance. Myles is a sweet loving 17 yr old who has been on oxeygen since he was a year old. He deserves a chance to live. So if you are reading this please help us save our son. Any little bit will help. Myles also has a page fight for Myles were you can see updates. Thank you and May God bless you.
