Alternative Chemo treatment

Samuel was diagnosed with stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma on December 10th, 2016. He underwent chemotherapy and after months of fighting ended on July 7th, 2017. His friends and family were hopeful and also worried to hear if he was in remission or not. Our hopes were unfortunately not met and Sam's doctor informed him that he still had traces of lymphoma. This meant Sam would have to undergo ICE as his next form of chemotherapy potentially followed by a bone marrow transplant. Meaning, many more months of pain and discomfort for Sam along with not being able to work or enjoy the life of a regular nineteen year old. After deep consideration and research Sam decided to go for an alternative route. He is currently drinking soursap tea everyday which has been shown to help reduce the growth of cancer cells in studies done korea. Sam is also on a very strict diet called the ketogenic diet which is known to starve cancer cells due to the low carb and sugar intake. These things will help but we are worried they won't be enough. Sam has found a form of treatment called Insulin potentiation therapy. This therapy has put many people into remission and kept them in remission for many years. The downfall is that it is considered a preventative method and not a cure. This means that Sam will not be covered under his insurance. To do this treatment each session is a whopping seven hundred and fifty dollars. Sam is going on Monday the 30th of October to speak with the doctor who performs this treatment however, he knows he will not have the money to be able to go through with it. Hence, I have started this GoFundMe for him. I have the goal of 10,000 dollars set up to cover roughly twelve treatments. If this money ends up being more than he needs the leftover will go to his pre-existing medical bills that he continues to receive from his first chemotherapy sessions.
