2015 Alta Marea - Funding Help

Each year, members of The University of Alabama Million Dollar Band Color Guard are selected to represent The University of Alabama by performing and competing as the Alta Marea Winterguard.
Alta Marea, meaning “high tide” in Italian, began competing in WGI and SCGC in 2006. The ladies of Alta Marea perform and entertain thousands of people during their competition season. Each member of Alta Marea is a student of the university and represent many academic colleges from across the campus. They are the true definition of student-athlete.
This year, a portion of the financial burden has been shifted to the members of Alta Marea and we are establishing this GoFundMe to help us with expenses. Alta Marea travels across the Southeastern United States competing in the regular season and finals take us to Dayton, Ohio for the WGI World Championships .
Expenses for the group include such things as uniforms, competition floor, competition fees, equipment, facility rentals, transportation and travel related charges for the large events such as the World Championships in Dayton, Ohio which are a four day event.
Each year we compete with other universities as well as organizations from around the globe! We are asking for your help, and please know that any size donation is appreciated! As the women of Alta Marea, we are dedicated to representing Alabama and continuing the great tradition of bringing home a championship.
