ALS Patient - Randy Floyd

Donation protected
CAN you please help??? I am raising money to help pay for Randy’s Wheelchair handicapped Accessible Van. This is a necessity and an ongoing financial burden. .,.,

In life, we often look to the big screen for heroes...for motivation to live better fuller lives. Please allow me to introduce you to a real life hero of the ALS community. His name is Randy Floyd. After experiencing weakness in his legs, tripping and incidents of falling. Randy was formally diagnosed with ALS 2012 when he was 49 years old. From that moment forward, he has been the face of ALS to many people in the Triad and surrounding counties. Randy fully understands the impact of ALS as he has lost 16 family members spanning over 4 generations to ALS . He has made it his personal mission to bring awareness of ALS to the Triad and community at large.Randy has selflessly raised thousands of dollars for research through the ALS Association. He has traveled to Washington DC to serve as an advocate to get legislatures to back ALS research, trial medications and laws to support funding for those in need. In January 2015, he participated in making of “Hope” , a video used to bring awareness and raise funding for ALS research. Not only has he raised money for research, he has literally allowed his body and gene pool to be a guinea pig for research clinics. Traveling to clinics as far as Boston to participate in hopes that treatment or cure would be found. He has tirelessly completed Radio interviews, news interviews, TV interviews and public speaking forums. And now, Randy needs us. He is not able to work; being primarily confined to a wheelchair with weakening use of his upper body. As life has it, bills do not stop. Mortgages don’t end. Handicapped van payments don’t go away. Insurance doesn’t cover all of the medical bills. Even for the heroes...There are those times in life when we have to stop and do the right thing. Randy has done that time and time again for every person living with ALS... for every person living in fear of hearing it has hit their generation...their mom, dad, sister, brother, cousin... or even themselves.I know Randy’s heart. I know the emotional struggle of a proud confident caring man that had to say OK, you can do a go fund me page... I can no longer keep afloat. So now it’s time that we do the right thing...I ask each and everyone of you, let this be your way to pay it forward, let this be your thank you, let this be your Christmas good deed or New Year’s resolution... let this be your right thing... let this be your blessing to the day to day heroes among us!
