Hi my Name is Ally Nadolecka. I am 15 and an aspiring professional snowboarder from Claremont New Hampshire. For the past 4 years I have been competing in snowboard competitions all over New England and also Colorado in the USASA (United States of America Snowboard and Free Ski Association) series. My goal is to one day compete in the olympics and XGames. Last year I was able to take a significant step in that direction with what was by far my most successful season to date. I was able to make the podium for a majority of my competitions and qualified to compete in the USASA Nationals at Copper Mountain Colorado in all 5 events. Out of over 70 competitors and after finishes of 3rd in both slalom and giant slalom, 6th in boardercross, 10th in halfpipe and 13th in slopestyle I was named 2016 Overall National Champion in the youth women's class. This was a major accomplishment and what I had been working towards for the last 4 years. Another first for me last year was being invited and competing in my first pro level event on the Revolution Tour Halfpipe Event at Seven Springs Mountain in Pennsylvania.
Last year I was able to attend Okemo Mountain School in Ludlow VT for a semester and train everyday with amazing coaches as well as continue my studies there. It no doubt made all of the difference in my season. The school along with training, travel and competing is very expensive. My family is of very modest means and I could not have accomplished all I did last year without everyone's generous support. This year my goal is to be able to attend OMS for the entire winter term and to also expand my competition schedule to include as many Revolution Tour events as possible. If you should decide to help me realize my dream I promise that I will always try my best and will represent everyone that supports me with the utmost integrity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
