An update:
Today, January 5, 2021, Alexis Rhianne Smith-Griffin left us. She fought hard. Her family takes comfort in knowing something positive came from such a devastating loss. Today, with the donation of her organs, she was able to be a hero and save lives.
The overwhelming outpouring of prayers, love, photos, stories and support for Ally and her family has touched them very deeply. In such a sorrowful time, it has been great to see the genuine goodness friends, family and strangers alike have shown. Words cannot begin to express our gratitude. She was an amazing young woman who was loved by so many.
Such a life changing event has forever changed hers and her family's lives in the blink of an eye.
Her mother, Christy Smith-Griffin was able to fly out from Missouri to be with her on Christmas Eve. Our father, Richard Griffin, and other siblings Halie Smith-Griffin and Richard Smith-Griffin are holding things together in Missouri. Given the time of year and the suddenness of this tragedy the family could absolutely benefit from everyone's help. Many expenses have came up so far such as an airline ticket, transportation, food, etc. There will be many more expenses involved in her recovery and as this progresses....more airline fees, transportation costs, food, lodging, medical bills etc.
It would be amazing if everyone could band together and help our family out. They are amazing, hard working, loving people and they can use all the help we can give them.
