Easter Sunday we watched as our baby girl fearlessly hopped on her new four wheeler and zipped around the yard like she had been doing it her whole life. Some call her McKenzie, Kenzie, Koo Bear, Kenzie Bear, Roni, Kenzeroni but her new nicknames take on a whole new meaning.. she is now a warrior and a fighter.

Tuesday night (4/19/2022) we were sent to the ED after we took her to the doctors for what appeared to be a viral rash. From that point on life has been a blur- McKenzie has been diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). In less than a weeks time she has had a Bone Marrow biopsy, Picc Placement, 2 Spinal Taps, 2 Rounds of Chemo, 2 Platelet transfusions, 1 blood transfusion and an endless amount of meds. It will be a long 2.5 years of treatments which will have good and bad days and steps forward and back but if this last week has shown us anything she has shown us she has the fight. It has also shown us that her support system is strong, very strong.

We are so fortunate for the doctors at Golisano Childrens Hospital which we will be calling home for the next month, during what they call the induction phase, until she can hopefully go home.

Thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the kind messages, gifts, food, prayers the list goes on and on. We love all of you! We have also set up a this go fund me page to help pay for medical bills as they come in as many people have asked us or family members how they can help. Also, our amazon driver might be getting overwhelmed with the number of packages we are getting daily.
