In September 2016, Alli and her husband, Pat, welcomed their first child - a beautiful little girl who they named Adeline. Shortly after, Alli noticed a lump while nursing Adeline, believed to be a clogged duct from breastfeeding complications. In February 2017, just five months after her precious daughter was born, our friend, Alli, at 29 years of age, was diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma (stage IIB, grade 3) and later tested positive for the BRCA1 gene. Sixteen rounds of IV chemotherapy immediately followed, which Alli has battled hard through and recently completed. Although those grueling months of chemo did make an impact, her tumor has since been labeled as unresponsive to the treatment received. She will now have to endure six more months of oral chemotherapy and ovary removal surgery. This, on top of Alli's upcoming double mastectomy and tumor removal surgery in August, followed by multiple reconstruction surgeries, as well as six weeks of radiation and the threat of recurrence throughout her body. The difficult news has been more than challenging to accept and the thought of even more treatment and procedures than initially anticipated is overwhelming; however, Alli is working hard to keep hope alive and battle through for the sake of herself and her loved ones.

During those fatiguing months of weekly IV chemotherapy, Alli and Pat were fortunate to have a nanny to care for Adeline and the house while Alli was enduring debilitating side effects and Pat was working to support the family. Unfortunately, financial strains from the mounting cancer interventions have made it so those necessary services are no longer available to them. In-home care for Adeline is critical, as Alli will be unable to lift her for several months after her upcoming surgery. Continued treatments and interventions will leave Alli extremely fatigued and immuno-suppressed for months and months to come, making it impossible for her to be the sole caregiver for her sweet daughter.

Please help support Alli, Pat and Adeline in Alli's ongoing fight against cancer by donating towards quality childcare for little Adeline. This priceless gift will allow Alli the time to rest, recover and regain the strength that she and her family will need for her to win this fight.

We greatly appreciate your generosity,
