Alli Hauswirth’s medical expenses

Back in December Alli was taking pictures to promote her small business when her knee dislocated causing her to fall 3 ft. She was taken to the ER for rays where they found a radial head fracture & torn knee. A week later at her Dr. Appointment they noticed the damage was worse than originally diagnosed, Alli was sent in for more scans where they found Alli had 3 breaks in her arm including her ulna.

They scheduled her surgery for January 17th. During surgery they found severe nerve damage & the surgery went from a 1.5 hour procedure to 3.5 hours. After surgery Alli dealt with an irregular heartbeat due to her various pills. Alli was put on a heart monitor & is going through tests. The pain medicine made her very sick & she was allergic to the replacement pills. Dealing with high pain without relief was exhausting for her. 4 Weeks after surgery & Alli went in for X-rays where they found the elbow was not healing correctly. After 5 weeks she was changed to a ROM cast without wrist support causing severe pain. They sent her in for another X-ray finding that her wrist had also broke in the fall.

Alli is currently still without function of her left arm & is getting treatment before possible new surgeries. As of March 30th she will be getting a new custom made brace to hopefully help the healing. Because of these injuries & ongoing issues she has not been able to run her small business as it should & is unable to serve. We are doing this to help her with bills and things until she can fully recover and get back to life & work.

Like a lot of small business owners Ali did not have medical insurance at the time of her injury.
