#AllForRio

As you may, or may not know, i am a fan of Rochdale AFC. Our current goalkeeper, who also made over 100 appearances for Bradford City has brought to our attention the story of Rio, the three year old son of his good friend Tommy Spurr. Tommy and his wife Chloe recently found out their son Rio had been diagnosed with Wilms’ tumour, a form of kidney cancer in children. He also had two tumours on his lungs. The family are trying to raise money in order to pay for treatment abroad as there is a 50% chance of the cancer returning and it is incurable on NHS.

On the 17th December, Rochdale play Bradford at Valley Parade. Myself and a few other Rochdale fans will be choosing to wear fancy dress for this fixture to help raise money! We encourage all fans of both clubs to join in or atleast wear Christmas jumpers/hats whilst donating to this cause!

I will be running other fundraisers alongside this GoFundMe with all proceeds going into the collection, please keep an eye out on my Twitter page for these, i will also personally make up the transaction fees that get taken out of each donation.

We have contacted Bradford with regards of bucket collections on the day that will also be added to this collection.
