To All that knew him,
  • Our Dear Friend Allen Cook was a Gentle Giant with a heart of gold and if you had the privilege to know him and call him friend then, you know what I'm about to say is the truth. When I first meet Allen, it was at work and how the saying goes (First Impressions last for Ever), well that is a bit of an understatement! Never have I meet a Giant of a man with a warm welcoming smile, a laugh that not only shook him but others as well, a hand shake that would engulf your hand like an infants, a hug that felt like you were being swaddled, spoke positive/peaceful words from his mouth to your heart and offered his friendship to every stranger he never met, as only a man of his statue could. Allen was a family first, friends second and work third kind of guy. Unfortunately, all three had to co-exist at one time and he still found the time to manage them all. He was a son, brother, friend, co-worker, husband, father, but most importantly he was a PAW-PAW!! He loved his grandchildren with the passion that only a grandparent could understand and no matter how bad of a day he had at work, he always had them as his shinning light to look forward to and he couldn't stand to be one day without them. He would race home to take them to ball practice, the swimming pool, the neighborhood park, push them on a swing, teach them to ride a bike, try to ride a skateboard, or just simply sit there with them on his lap and watch them smile while they watched a movie. Needless to say his family and grandchildren were the Sole Providers of his enjoyment and meaning to life and he was the same to them. Hopefully the memories he shared with them will never be forgotten and they will get enjoyment knowing he cared so passionate for them and loved them unconditionally. Unfortunately, he can no longer be the Sole Provider for his family, so I'm asking for you all to reach deep into your heart, step into his shoes and help to give his family and grandchildren a new start to their unforeseen/unplanned future. We should all share with them what we can to help out because they shared him with us and Allen has helped as all!!!

Sincerely,
Your Forever Friend
