Allan's Kidney Transplant

Allan's chance for a Kidney Transplant

Hi Family, Friends and anyone who is reading this page. My name is Marie Mora and I am asking for your support in helping my dad, Allan Mayor, undergo a kidney transplant.

My dad was diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Failure on April 29, 2015. He has been on hemodialysis since then to live. Dialysis has really weighed on him and his everyday life. His health has deteriorated in the last few years and this kidney transplant is needed to save and change his life.

We have tried to find a living donor which included my brother and I to be tested to donate our kidney. However, I was denied right away because I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my daughter's pregnancy. Immediately after my brother went through all the testing and was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and the board from UCLA did not recommend him to donate his kidney due to his health risks of having full diabetes in the future.  We then searched through our family and we were fortunate enough that my cousin, Carlo Escoto, in the Philippines was willing to help and be tested to donate his kidney for my dad. He completed the pre-screening tests and was a match for my dad! We were so grateful that we found a match, but the process in getting him from the Philippines to the US would be a difficult one.

After a long year of trying to petition for his visa, he unfortunately was denied and will not be able to do the transplant here as planned. The wait period for a kidney is 10 years in California. So our option now is to take my dad to the Philippines and perform the kidney transplant there. Unfortunately, their insurance will not cover any medical bills outside the country. So your donation and support will help in paying for all of his medical expenses and the kidney transplant that will be done in the Philippines.

We are asking family, friends and anyone willing to help get funds for his transplant. Even the smallest amount can change his life. I want to thank you in advance for donating and sharing this post and helping our family reach our goal. God bless!

My dad's blood type is O-positive. If you would like to be considered in donating and finding out if you are a match please visit:
