Allan Manubay is a good friend to many of us, always went out of his way to help others, a good family man, father, classmate, friend, co-worker...
He always had fun and lived life independently to the fullest, but on December 2016 that was all taken from him when he had a stroke. Soon after, his kidney's got affected and is now undergoing dialysis 3 times a week and is suffering other health issues.
He is on a 7 year wait list for a kidney transplant, and he is trying to check all venues to hasten this process with all potential kidney organ donors. This process takes a lot of time, testing, money and prayers for a succesful outcome.
During numerous conversations in the past, he always, showed a strong positive attitude, full of hope, with an "I can handle this" outlook. That was the Allan that I always knew.
I received a call last night from a different, broken down and totally distraught person, who was not looking for help. Just looking for a friendly voice, just for someone to listen to him, speak to him since he didn't want to give additional worries to his family. It just totally broke my heart.
On my own, I decided to create a Go Gund Me account to Help our friend Allan. He was refusing the idea, he said that he didn't want to show weakness and beg for alms.
I explained that this was not begging, this is an act of friends helping each other during times of need. At some point, others would be in the same situation, and we would all help them to.
To all schoolmates, family members, friends, and acquaintances; Let's all help Allan out during this very trying moments.
No amount is to small, every bit helps.
