Hello, my name is Rylee, I have spent the first 10 weeks of my life in the Townsville Hospital and this is my story so far.
Born on the 15th December 2019, I was diagnosed with neonatal seizure activity and then Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy.
My mum and Nanny wanted this first video to be a positive and uplifting part of our story, however, today 24th February the day I was meant to be discharged I am now being flown to Brisbane Royal Children's Hospital for more investigations into my seizure activity.
My life so far has been a number of medications 7 at one stage to stop the seizure activity, 2 MRIs, 2 EEGs, lumbar puncture, breathing support machines and so many other things.
My parents have been off work from early December in preparation for my arrival and now we have to go to Brisbane for more treatment and find out why I am having these seizures.
As my parents are from Townsville, my Nanny has decided to put this page together to help them help me. We are not sure how much longer I will need to stay in the hospital, but we hope for not much longer. I would like to spend time in my room that my parents have created and not have them visit me in the hospital every day.
When I get out my Mumma and my Nanny are dedicating their time to support other parents who are going through this or similar conditions and I hope one day soon to share my story with you all. You can follow my Mumma's blog at https://www.moyocoyotzin.com.au
