All Things Lumpia Food Truck

Donazione protetta
Hi, my name is Ashley! In 2020, when COVID-19 hit, the dental office I worked at closed down for a few months due to the pandemic and made times a little rough for me and my family. We were trying to come up with ideas to make extra money during the pandemic to help out with bills in our home. One night, I was talking with my fiancé about selling lumpia (Filipino egg rolls). I’ve been making them since I was a young child with my parents and they were always a big hit at every family event!
(More like a staple at every event)

We moved to Sammamish, WA in 2019 and if you know the area well you know there’s no Filipino food out this way. If you’re craving any, you have to at least drive towards Seattle or south- that’s almost an hour! Or more!

I incorporate my Filipino and Hawaiian culture into the foods I create. Along with recipes from my family. I try my best to accommodate customers with special dietary needs. I always make the lumpia fresh. It’s never in the freezer for more than a week! The Turon and pancit are always made to order. I offer catering/party trays and single orders.

I’ve been using my personal and business Facebook page to promote sales. We never thought it would do that well and was very nervous about starting one at all. Within the first few hours of posting about my lumpia for sale, We were blown away from all of the responses we received! Since June 2020 business has been great. We’ve had nothing but great reviews since then and no customer complaints. I’ve had my cooking compared to customers Lola’s and Lolo’s (grandma/grandpa) which is such a high compliment in the Filipino culture! Saying they haven’t had food like this in so long! Or it reminds them of back home on the islands/Philippines. You can find our business page on Facebook- “All Things Lumpia” where you can find a current menu w/prices. Reviews, photos and offers.

We do our best to accommodate all times and days when orders are needed while working being a full time mom and dad, spouses, and us having full time jobs.

We created this GoFundMe to help expand our business into something bigger and greater because I know the food we put out is well worth every penny. We want to be able to bring more dishes and flavors to our menu. We want to open a food truck that is based in the Sammamish/Issaquah area and travel on the weekends to different cities near by. Participate at big events and offer more catering. Provide a full experience. We have such big dreams for this business and are ready to make them a reality. While all the other restaurants are great in the city of Sammamish/Issaquah, I want to add to the diversity and bring my culture to this wonderful city and the surrounding areas. (cause who wants to travel an hour or more all the time right? Lol).

Right now we are asking for any and all types of help to expand our business into a food truck, whether its advice, leads, money, or restaurants that would love to collaborate! Any help is welcome and very appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and we hope to be established in our city soon!
