I hope you are staying safe during these crazy times. . I am reaching back out to all of you for your consideration in helping me raise money for an AAU program(All-In Hoops) that started last year for my daughter, Mary Grace, and ten other girls from the area. This will be our final season as the girls will be off to college after the years season. As you can imagine, last year was a challenge, due to Covid, but we made the best of it and were able to get a full schedule. The good news is we are confident that 2021 will allow for a more normal season for the girls. Through the commitment of these girls, and their families, we have been able to achieve our goals:
• Build a program that is about the players and not the name of the program.
• Give the girls flexibility to pursue other activities(academics, track, lax, etc.) while still being able to develop their skills.
• Recognize that they are young girls and need to have a life outside of sports.
As stated in the past, I’m a big believer in that playing sports is much bigger than just the sport. It’s developing friendships, memories and a network that they will have for the rest of their lives. What I’m most excited about for these girls is that we were able to lay the foundation for this to happen. Many of these girls will look to use basketball as an avenue to get them into college, but they will always be able to look back at the memories and friendships they formed.
As we head into our final season I am asking for you, or your companies, to consider helping me raise money to help these girls pursue their dream. The cost to maintain and build the team is significant as well as is the cost to each player. We incur Insurance; Tournament Costs; Practice Facilities; Uniforms; Equipment. We will be also looking to create a website, player profile for recruiting purposes, as well as video equipment to film games so the girls can use it as a recruiting tool.
As many of you know, this is something I am very passionate about and look forward our final season of All In Hoops. They are a special group of girls who share a unique love for basketball and each other. Without your donations, many of the things we want to accomplish aren’t achievable.
