Alita's Emergency Vet fund

Donation protected

12-25-19 our year old puppy was struck by a car that just sped off and left her while good Samaritans tried to help us get her stable and to the vet.

She has a broken leg and is currently undergoing stabilization treatment and X-rays.

We do already know that she will need surgery.  Any money raised over the total cost of her treatment will be returned or donated to dog rescues to help others get life saving medical treatment.

Update (12/26/19) We heard from the Vet Surgeon who can hopefully get her in within the next three days, the cost of the surgery will be about $2,000-$3,000. Luckily it was a clean break in her leg and nothing too extreme. Her mouth has finally stopped bleeding from the laceration.
She’s doing okay for now, but obviously she’s in a lot of pain.
We’re very lucky that she came out of all this with only a broken leg and busted mouth.
Also, still no update on the person who hit her and drove off ):

Update (12/28/2019) Yesterday she underwent a 4 hour surgery to affix a metal plate and bone screws to stabilize her leg so that it can heal correctly. She has two different antibiotics and two different pain medications to help her during this time. She is home resting with 3 year old human Lily.
