Alish's Child Nursing in Sri Lanka

Hi everyone.
Thank you for visiting my go fund me page!
My names Alish Sweeney and i am currently studying Child Nursing at the University of Huddersfield. I have always been passionate about working with children and it is my dream to become a neo-natal nurse.

To aid my learning i have decided to undertake a 4 week elective placement in Sri Lanka where i will be be volunteering in a children's hopital and bringing my knowledge and skills which i have learnt in the UK to less developed parts of the world. Health services in Sri Lanka have undergone some improvement, yet still remain far from ideal.

This programme is run by a company called 'Work the World' who are a safe, reliable and reputable orgaisation who tailer healthcare placements for students and professionals wanting to take part in an elective placement overseas.
 
To raise further funds towards the costs i will also be participating in the Leeds Half Marathon in May, organising cake sales, coffee mornings and i am also hoping to do the 3 peaks challenge.
