Alihsaan Community College

Al-Ihsaan Community College is a non-profit independent Islamic school for Girls that is setup and run by Masjid Al-Furqan, Leicester, Uk. The school is registered with the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) and has been going for 6 years. Before 2016, the school passed all the Ofsted inspections with good standards and met all the requirements. In the last school inspection, Ofsted asked the school to make some changes on the premises and update its resources to meet the required standards. This has brought heavy financial burden that the school cannot cover at this stage of its development. It has therefore become necessary to appeal for the generosity of the Muslim ummah to ensure the success of this institution which educates young Muslim girls in a safe and Islamic environment.

In this appeal, we are looking to raise £150,000 which will be used to make the necessary changes to the school’s building and purchase resources.

·      £70,000 will be used to build an exit in the exam and canteen area which is currently out of use because it does not have a fire exit which is required by law.

·     £ 40,000 will be used to improve the current science lab in order to raise standards.

·      £20,000 will purchase a desperately needed IT suite.

·      £20,000 is for additional teaching materials that meet the National Curriculum.
