A Lifeboat for Bob and Judy

Donation protected

In their early 60s, Bob and Judy (Uncle Bob and Aunt Judy to me) were looking forward to golden years full of matinees, long drives, day trips, and play time with their loveable cat.

Hurricane Harvey had different ideas for them, as it did for more than 30,000 others in 50 different counties in Texas. How easy it can be to lose things. Their home and safe haven, flooded under more than 5 ft. of water. Their vehicle, submerged or swept away. Most all their belongings, gone except the few clothes they were able to pack and of course.. the cat.

Yet through one of the most costly disasters our nation has ever seen, Aunt Judy remains brave and optimistic. "Everything's gone and we have to start over," she writes, "but things will work out eventually. "

Rebuilding back to normal will not be easy for these two and whatever you can think to give will help alleviate even the many expenses coming their way. Even safe lodging doesn't come cheap! A car was essential to Bob's work, and will be again, if things ever "get back to normal."

Every single dollar will be appreciated and used wisely. They do not know where their next paycheck will come from and are quckly running out of cold hard cash.

Thank you for your donation, thoughts and well wishes.
