For as long as I can remember, I have loved working with kids. I have had the great honor of working with kids in more settings than I can count; but there is one place that has been more meaningful and impactful than I ever could have imagined. That place is the Bridge Center for Play Therapy, where I have dedicated my time and energy for the past 3 years.
The work I have been able to do as a play therapist lights me up in a way I hope everyone has the opportunity to experience. I get to be with children on their hardest days and let them know that they MATTER, no matter what. I get to support them in their emotional development, and help them to create new and healthy coping strategies that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Every child deserves to know that they are not alone, that their challenges are universal, and that they can handle whatever comes up in the crazy, scary, amazing world.
This is why I need your help.
Because I believe so strongly in the work I am doing, I have decided to leave my safe little Boulder bubble and spread this work to MORE children and families. To do so, I will be opening up my very own Bridge Center in an area with less resources. (Ideally, this center will be located along the 36 corridor, though exact location is yet to be determined.)
I cannot make this dream happen without support. (Surprise! It turns out helping others is not necessarily a money maker...)
