As you all know, Alicia’s upcoming surgery will be complex, requiring the expertise of a specialized surgeon at Mayo in Rochester. We are so thankful that she will be able to receive care there!
However, insurance can be complicated. Colin has informed me that their request was denied to have Mayo be considered “in network”. As such, they will be required to pay approximately $10,000 out of pocket.
Many of you have expressed a desire to help during this time. Prayer and encouragement are always needed and so powerful. If you also are interested in helping out financially, I have created a GoFundMe account to help alleviate the financial burden.
As a disclaimer, I will tell you that Alicia and Colin were hesitant to go forward with this GoFundMe account. Sometimes it is so hard for us to accept help from others! Can you relate? I know that I can! But wouldn’t you agree that friends and family are there for a reason? This is a tangible way for us to show love to Alicia and to help her and her family carry this heavy burden.
