Alice Ortiz's Memorial Fund

We are asking for your assistance in raising money for our dear friend Alice Ortiz's memorial expenses. Alice was diagnosed with Histiocytic Sarcoma, a very rare form of cancer. Alice was originally diagnosed with Lyme disease about a year ago when she began feeling ill and fainting. She went through 100's of tests and treatments that her body did not respond to. Only a few weeks ago did the Dr.'s tell her she had cancer and was dying. Alice left behind her 25 yr old son, Matthew and 13 year old daughter, Kylie. Alice was in and out of the hospital so much that she was unable to keep her job. Matthew could only work part time because he was the primary care-giver for his mother. Matthew had to hold down the fort, pay all the household bills as well as worry about Alice's bills and his little sister. A group of close friends have started this account to raise money to have a memorial for Alice and to help with cremation expenses. I am asking for your support in any way possible...even if it is a $5 donation. Both of Alice's parents are deceased and there are no family members that can afford to pay for her funeral expenses. In honor of Alice and all she has done for so many people, we would like to have a "Celebration of Life" gathering for her because she would not have wanted us to mourn her death. We would really appreciate your help so we can assist her son and her family with paying her expenses. Alice was an amazing friend, sister, daughter and mother and there was nothing she wouldn't do to help someone. Alice was very involved with animal rescue and loved to help every person and every animal she was able to.
