Duathlon World Championships 2015

Hi! My name is Alexandra (Alex) Veenker and I need your help getting to Australia this October to race for Team USA!
Three months ago I recieved an email saying that I have been awarded a spot to compete for Team USA at the 2015 Standard Distance Duathlon World Championships; the standard distance consists of a 10 Kilometer run, 40 Kilometer bike, and 5 Kilometer run. The event will take place in Adelaide, Australia on October 18th, 2015 and is by invitation only. Team USA is comprised of elite and age group athletes who represent the USA at the International Triathlon Union's World Championships. Qualification is based on performance at qualifying events or rankings in duathlon through USA Triathlon.
Currently I am a business student at Oklahoma State University, an Alumni of Heritage Hall School, and was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Three years ago my running career started, and after completing multiple half marathons and one full I decided the next challenge would be to take on the world of du and triathlon. I joined the Triathlon Club of Oklahoma City and Oklahoma State Triathlon Club, which I am now Treasurer. Qualifying for this amazing opportunity to represent the USA as well as Oklahoma is a great honor and a great struggle, for all expenses are left to each athlete to cover. Everything from hotel and flight, travel VISA and insurance, race registration, bike transportation overseas, uniform, and daily meals just to mention a few.
If you are reading this then I probably sent you a letter or the link to my page and I cannot tell you how much I would value your contribution to my campaign! Events like this would not be possible without the generous support athletes get from companies, family, and friends. (And if you just happened to find this page on your own, great!
