Alexandra Hospital Ward 5 Staff

Hello my name is Paul. I’m fundraising for the staff of Ward 5 at the Princess Alexandra hospital, Redditch.

This ward is the intensive Covid ward at the hospital and my wife, Millie is currently a patient on the ward. Millie has been a patient on the ward for over two weeks now and brilliant nursing and care have saved her life and although there is still a long way to go they have put her on the road to recovery.

Millie was able to text me this:

I want to do something for the staff on this ward. They are all obviously suffering after catching Covid themselves as lots are still coughing and are clearly exhausted from 12 hour plus shifts. Their faces are rubbed raw by masks. Despite this I’ve never had anything but total kindness care and compassion plus encouraging support from absolutely everyone from cleaners to doctors.

I know there are lots of heroes fighting this pandemic but these are the heroes I will forever be In awe of.

i’ve been left a bit breathless with a cough after Covid and I’m trying to get my fitness back. I’ve decided to walk the main section of the Malvern hills on the 4th or 5th of December 2021. If you are able to make a donation to sponsor me that would be fantastic there are about 60 staff in total ward on the ward and I would like to be able to do something for everyone so it’s quite ambitious.
