Dear friends,
Alexander (Sasha) Menshikov has lost his fight with illness on January 4th, 2015.
He was amazing singer, and very kind person. Everyone who knew Sasha personally agree that he was one of the sweetest persons in the world.
Alexander was born in 1962 in Bugulma in Republic of Tatarstan (former USSR). He studied singing at The Gnesin's Academy of Russian music in Moscow, the most prestigious school for vocalists in Russia. He was ensemble Barynya's lead singer since 1996.
It was way too early for Sasha to leave this world. How many songs he could have sing with us...
I was lucky enough to know him for 20 years, call him a friend, and drive so many miles together with him and other members of Barynya to concerts all over the country. This loss is immesurable.
In times like these, we usually ask ourselves if we can help in a practical way.
Please consider contributing to the fund I set up in Sasha Menshikov's memory. Every dollar will help Sasha's son Andrei Menshikov in funeral and post funeral expenses.
