Aleem's Drum Intensive in Ghana!

Aleem has the opportunity to travel to Ghana, West Africa with Farafina Kan in February 2019! This is an amazing opportunity and we need your support. Aleem has been drumming since his Grandmother bought him a drum at the age of two. He began drumming with Baba Mahiri Keita at TamTam Mandingue when he was 3 and was invited to drum with the Farafina Kan Denu group. His first onstage performance with the group was at the age of four. Now, five years later, he has the opportunity to travel to Ghana with the entire Farafina Kan Denu group to perform and to learn. He will get to learn the customs and traditions of Ghana while showing his talent and continuing to gain more knowledge. Aleem is most excited about having the opportunity to perform in front of school children his own age! Please help us to reach this goal.
