My name is Alec Bobbitt. I am 21 and living in Santa Cruz. I'm raising money for my Discipleship Training School (DTS) through YWAM.  Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. 
    My school is called "Calling All Skaters," we are a group of humans passionate about skateboarding and sharing the gospel through the common bond of skating.  We will be studying the Bible during the first three months and helping the skateboarding community by hosting barbeques, praying with people at the skateparks and doing whatever else the Spirit leads us to. 
  The second phase takes place in a country that is yet to be determined (possibly China or Chile). Where we will continue to serve and skate and share the gospel where we are needed. 
  God has called and given me this amazing opprotunity to serve others and grow doing something I am very passionate about. I need to raise $3500 before I leave in September for lecture phase. The rest is covering my travel expenses for our outreach trip. Only give as you feel led. I hate asking for money, but God is using this as a way to further his kingdom. This is a ministry I've been led to and have dreamed of doing my whole life. Donations and prayers for myself and the DTS staff are much appreciated. Grace and peace.
