UPDATE:

On December 15th at 5:10 p.m, my Mom was called home by the Lord. She is survived by myself, my step-father Rick, my brother Josh, and her three young grandchildren: Cadence, Jeremiah, and Leah.

To fulfill my Mom's final wishes for burial, the costs are extremely high. My family is in great need of your support and prayers during this time. Any and everything is deeply appreciated.

My Mom was a beautiful inside and out. She loved deeply and took care of everyone. She never hesitated to help us in our own times of need. She was caring, thoughtful, and very special to us. She will be greatly missed.

Wednesday, December 6th, my mom, Dianna Aldom, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that has metastasized throughout her abdomen. In the past months, she has been in a great amount of pain in her abdomen, she had multiple trips to the ER, numerous CT's, a colonoscopy, endoscopy, mammogram, women's exam with no answer to why she was in so much pain.

Finally, the second to last time she was admitted they found a large amount of fluid in her abdomen which they then became concerned about, upon testing that fluid they discovered cancer cells in it. They then decided to take her in for exploratory surgery to see if they could find a tumor of some sort that could be causing the cancer cells they found, etc. Upon completion of the surgery we were told just how serious it was by the surgeon, that it is a bad, bad cancer spread throughout her abdomen. Last Friday, the 8th, she was released from the hospital with instructions to follow up with oncology.

The next day she became very ill with complications from the cancer, violently throwing up and aspirating it into her lungs causing severe pneumonia and putting her body into septic shock. She almost lost her life that day. She was admitted, intubated and sedated as we prayed for her to pull through that, not knowing if she would.

Thankfully and miraculously the infection is basically gone and she was able to get the ventilator out yesterday. But, we now know she has what looks like a tumor in her small intestine that the surgeons have determined inoperable. Life has measurably gone down hill for my mom within a week's time from complications from her cancer.

My mom brought in a portion of her and my step-dad's income and obviously has not been able to work, my step-dad has not been able to work much as he has tried to be by her side as much as he could, especially when we thought she was not going to make it.

If there is any way you can help ease some of their financial burdens for them that would be a huge blessing and we would be so grateful! If you are not able, that is okay we totally understand. Please continue to keep us in your prayers! Thank you!!!
