I'm Melatti, a peculiar, cultural and musical storyteller and I would like to raise money so I can bring my debut album which I have been working on since 2016 to completion. Therefore I need at least £5,000 to complete the postproduction and launch it into the world.
Background
I am a woman with a diverse background who has found magic through the challenges in life and would love to share with you my findings. In 2016, I began to write my debut album containing these stories I have lived throughout my journeys in life. Very soon it expanded into a big musical and creative collaboration I called MARDHYS. MARDHYS stands for seeking truth, for exploration, for connection. MARDHYS touches something inside of you you didn't know you had yet feels strangely familiar.

The Album
The album called -NICE TO MEET YOU- is a thirteen track album where every song flows into the next with the use of hypnotic interludes to guide the listener to the next chapter of the story all in the cohesive journey of finding yourself. You'll find the most diverse, ethnic and cultural influences (think Folk Tales, Hungarian Gypsy scales, odd timing, Jazz, Prog, Blues, Arabic influences and poetic songwriting) such as: Ali Farka Touré, Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, Ellen McIlwaine, Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, Anais Mitchell, Sting, Nick Drake, Jaco Pastorius and Joni Mitchell.
Situation
As you are probably aware, the creative sector took one of the greatest impacts due to the Corona crisis.
Therefore living London became very challenging for me and it extinguished my fire to create. So I decided to buy a van, convert it into a home and travel and play the streets. I am currently on a voyage through Europe towards Morocco of further discovery and creation. On my trip I have been filming unique content to support my songs. And so my story continues, ready to write the next album.
I have done two Bachelor degrees in Music Therapy and Music Performance. I've spent a lot of time and money investing to develop my talent. I have written, composed, sang and performed these songs in the tiniest bars to the biggest stages on festivals such like Shambala (UK) and Victorious festival (UK). I've spent a couple of years on the album's pre-production with a bunch of very gifted musicians arranging each and every detail of the songs. All of which everyone brought in their own influences en talent.

In a magical little cabin in the woods we have recorded all the musicians (about 25 of them) including myself.
We pushed ourselves to make each song the very best version of itself it can be. When I talk about 'we' I mean me and Tom Doughty who produce the music and Oliver Hall who is managing the album making.
Now the part where I need your help:
We are finding the audio post production challenging due to the huge impact of the current situation (COVID-19). So in order to complete this treasured creative work I would like to ask you for a contribution, anything you can give will be highly appreciated and received with huge gratitude.
Costs
To finish off the album an absolute minimum is needed of £3,000 is needed to finish the audio post production of the album.
Should we smash through our target, we would like to use the rest of the money raised to:
- Print the album on CD and Vinyl
- Print Merchandise
- Promoting the album
- Create video content (concepts are all ready and planned)
- Subsidise a live performance premiere of the video in a unique location

The sooner the money get's in the sooner I can invest in the project and the sooner it get's finished. It would mean the world to me that after 5 years I can give this project what it needs and bring it to completion for you and others to enjoy a full audio and visual experience. You'll support not only me, but a whole bunch of creatives to get back on their feet.
