Alberto y su eterna sonrisa

Hola, mi nombre es Jessica Romero y pido ayuda para mi hijo Alberto.

Él tiene (Leucodistrofia de Pelizeus Merzbacher ) con diversidad funcional. Recientemente, tras una exhaustiva valoración médica y con un pronóstico de mejora de su calidad de vida, le hemos operado sus dos piernas por un acortamiento de tendones bastante agresivo que le dificultaba tener cambios de posición y de postura, entre ellas, la bipedestación.

Alberto es un niño que está creciendo satisfactoriamente y regala sonrisas que enamoran a todo el mundo. Tiene mucho que enseñarnos y dos de esas maravillosas enseñanzas son las de valorar los pequeños detalles de la vida diaria y la fuerza del amor sin medida frente a cualquier obstáculo que se presente.

Por este motivo, el uso de un andador le puede proporcionar cierta independecia.

La capacidad de movimiento y de autonomía, no sólo es saludable sino que para quienes está tan limitada, conseguirla es vital.

Hago esta petición porque la Seguridad social no cubre este artículo por considerarlo de lujo y no una necesidad.

La recaudación es para la compra del andador y las terapias que necesita y así lograr el objetivo de volver a disfrutar como antes.

Hello, 

My name is Jessica Romero and I am asking for help for my wonderful son called Alberto.

 He was born with a rare disease called Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease which has caused a severe functional diversity.( please take time to read about this rare disease ) 

 

Recently, after exhaustive medical assessment and with the sole aim of improving his quality of life, surgeon’s performed major surgery on both of his legs. Alberto was suffering with severe shortening of the tendons in his legs that made it increasingly difficult for him to change position and to obtain a good posture. It has become impossible to reach a standing position. 

 Alberto is a boy who is growing satisfactorily and always has a wonderful smile that makes everyone fall in love with him. He has much to teach us, these wonderful teachings are to value the small details of daily life and to face of any obstacle that may arise.

 For this reason, the use of a walker can give Alberto a lot of independence.

These sessions standing upright are important for health reasons. It is vital to develop the standing posture, his breathing, balance, muscle strength and maintain the length of the recently operated tendons. 

 I am making this request because Social Security here in Spain does not cover the cost of this item as it is considered a luxury and not a necessity.

The amount I request is the purchase of the walker and the subsequent therapy sessions that he will need. Thus helping us achieve the goal of Alberto being healthier and happier as possible.
