Hi everyone, I'm Albert Washington, and most of you know me as the BlackBestCatdad. I'm reaching out because I'm facing a difficult financial situation and I need help. I used to feel ashamed to ask for assistance, but now I realize that it doesn't make me any less of a man. Over the past 8 months, I haven't made the best financial decisions. I've had fun, helped friends with money, and been irresponsible with bills, and now it's all catching up to me. I tried selling cute cat ties and Doing TikTok Live battles to help raise money. But I get bashed saying “ I’m using my cat for money”.

I've been in business for almost 5 years now, and they say the fifth year is the toughest, and they were right. I had a plan to improve my financial situation by getting a loan from the City of Lacrosse through WWBIC. I started applying for the loan back in February, and now in May, the closing is ready to happen. Everything was going smoothly until today when I received a call informing me that a judgment from a car accident in 2017, where I broke my neck, is preventing me from receiving the loan. After three months of fighting to get all the paperwork in, I was denied at the very end. This was Heartbreaking! The loan was for $25,000, and I had high hopes for it. It's my fault for putting all my hopes on this one opportunity and for not making the right financial decisions throughout my time in business.

I'm sharing this not for sympathy, but because I have no other options left. I have no one else I can turn to for help. I'm even nervous writing this because I know I'll be judged and criticized, but I'm left with no choice. I've spent years building my social media presence and bringing happiness to many people as the Blackbestcatdad on days when they're feeling down. I have 1.5 million followers on TikTok and 370,000 on Instagram. However, now I find myself with very little. I can't afford to pay my rent for my apartment or my store, and the landlords are unsure if they want to renew the lease. My business is in a great location, but I have very low inventory. My plan was to use the loan to purchase furniture and fill up my store, which would help me double my business. But now that the loan fell through, I'm at a loss for what to do next, other than reaching out to my followers and anyone reading this because I was adopted and don't have a real family to turn to.

My life has been a roller coaster, and I wish I had made better decisions. When my mom passed away in 2020 at the age of 56, everything started falling apart. She never got to see my first apartment or visit my store. She'll never have the chance to hold my child or attend my wedding. With Mother's Day, her birthday on June 11th, and the anniversary of her passing on July 7th all coming up, I can't afford to lose everything right now. I feel like a failure, and I know it's my own fault. If I receive any donations, I will use the money to pay off any past due balances, cover my rent for both my home and store, purchase furniture, and restock my store with inventory. I also haven't been able to afford groceries, so I'll use the funds for that as well. Once I have the furniture, I'll provide updates on how my store is doing. I believe that once I have the necessary resources, I'll be able to turn things around.

I'm planning to make a video and post it on TikTok and Instagram, but I'm too ashamed to share it on Facebook where my childhood friends and people who know me will see it. I've set a goal of $50,000, hoping that it will be enough to help me get back on my feet and rebuild my business and finances from there. By buying furniture and mattress inventory with the go fund me money. I just need a push to get over this hump. I didn't have grandparents with money, and I was abandoned at Cook County Hospital as a baby and spent 8 years in foster care, moving from home to home and experiencing abuse. I was raised in the dangerous parts of Chicago and attended one of the so-called worst high schools in Englewood, Paul Robeson. I'm 32 years old with no children, just me and my cat. I'm not involved in criminal activities like jail, robbery, or gang violence. I've made mistakes in the past, but I've learned from them and continue to learn. I've come a long way, and I'm determined to overcome this situation.

I'm reaching out to all of you, my followers, for support. If each of my 1.5 million followers could donate just $1, it would make a huge difference. I understand that not everyone will be able to contribute, but I hope that this message reaches someone who understands .

I like to Show because people tend to lie. Pics of my fridge, bank account, and empty store. Again, was approved and waiting for the loan to fix it but a huge road black at the finish line and denied me.

Lights was off at my place for a week. So stayed at the warehouse until I got them back on. I know a lot was asking on tiktok. But was to asked to say.
